Vincent McGinniss, DO, has joined the medical staff at Wyandot Memorial Hospital and is practicing otolaryngology and facial plastic surgery with Wyandot Medical Providers in Upper Sandusky.
Dr. McGinniss is board certified in otolaryngology – care of the ear, nose and throat – and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. His approach combines compassionate patient care with meticulous attention to detail and a natural artistic touch.
Dr. McGinnis specializes in diagnosing, treating and managing diseases in both children and adults of the sinuses, larynx (voice box), oral cavity, and upper pharynx (mouth and throat), as well as structures of the neck and face. He is trained in both the medical and surgical treatment of hearing, ear infections, balance disorders, ear noise (tinnitus), nerve pain and facial and cranial disorders. The specialist also manages diseases of the esophagus, including voice and swallowing disorders.
Additionally, Dr. McGinniss performs a broad range of facial plastic surgical and non-surgical procedures, and will serve as the co-medical director of Wyandot MedSpa. Procedures include facial reconstruction after defects from skin cancer or trauma, eyelid reconstruction and rejuvenation, nasal reshaping to improve both function and aesthetics, facelifts/necklifts, ear reshaping, removal of benign and malignant skin lesions, facial dermal fillers and threads to remove wrinkles and add facial volume lost to aging, Botox to address wrinkles, and laser resurfacing to improve skin wrinkles, tone, age spots and other skin pigmentations. Dr. McGinniss also applies regenerative medicine to his practice for the best possible results.
Dr. McGinniss is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Osteopathic Colleges of Ophthalmology & Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. His fellowship in both cosmetic and reconstructive procedures in facial plastics was completed at Cleven’s Face and Body Specialists in Melbourne, Florida in 2016. Dr. McGinniss completed his residency training through the Michigan State University statewide campus in 2015 and he graduated with Sigma Sigma Phi honors from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine on an Air Force scholarship in 2007.
Dr. McGinniss has additional aerospace medical training through the U.S. Air Force. He served as a flight surgeon with the rank of captain for three years of active duty including deployments to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He was awarded an Air Medal for flying in combat and medivac missions during his tour.
