Professional History: Dr. Selvon F. St Clair, M.D., Ph.D. is a board-certified orthopaedic and spinal surgeon. He earned his medical degree and doctorate in philosophy in Molecular Biology/Oncology at New York University School of Medicine (NYUSOM). He finished his orthopedic surgery residency at Cleveland Clinic and his spine surgery fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine Spine Center, GA. He is the recipient of NYUSOM Samuel Spiegel Scholar, Cleveland Clinic Innovator Award, and the Best Orthopaedic Resident Research Award. He is currently ranked 100th in the nation and 1st in Ohio for Spine Surgeries based on the number of patients who have chosen him for surgery.
Dr. St Clair specializes in the surgical treatment of spinal disorders and complex revision surgery. His clinical interests include degenerative disorders of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine with a particular focus on minimally invasive spinal surgery for stenosis and herniated disc; cervical total disc replacement; adolescent and adult scoliosis deformity surgery; spinal tumors; infections; and trauma. Dr. St. Clair has a special interest in the treatment of osteoporotic compression fractures using the latest techniques.
