Cardiologist Joining Wyandot Memorial
Cardiologist Tushar Shah, MD, is joining the medical specialists at Wyandot Memorial Hospital in February and will have office hours Monday through Friday each week.
Dr. Shah is a noninvasive cardiologist with broad training in general cardiology, advanced heart failure, critical care and advanced cardiovascular imaging. His clinical interests include cardiovascular critical care, heart failure, complex valvular heart disease, preventative cardiology, echocardiography, cardiovascular CT, cardiovascular MRI and advanced lipid management.
Dr. Shah has extensive clinical and leadership experience in private and academic settings, including at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky; Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania and PriMed Cardiology in Dayton, Ohio. He completed fellowships in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology at the University of Kentucky, advanced cardiovascular imaging (MRI and CT) at St. Vincent Heart Center in Indianapolis and cardiovascular disease at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. The specialist served a residency in internal medicine at Duke University, and an internal medicine/pediatrics internship there as well. He earned his medical degree at the University of North Carolina and undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Shah is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology. He is certified in clinical hypertension by the American Society of Hypertension and also holds certifications in nuclear cardiology, cardiovascular CT and adult echocardiography.
