When to Visit the Emergency Room

You do not need an appointment to visit the emergency room. Call 911 or have someone drive you to the hospital as quickly as possible if you think you are in an emergency situation.

You will have to use your own judgement in many cases when deciding whether or not you are dealing with an emergency. Urgent care provides same-day medical services on a walk-in basis.
