Revenue Integrity Specialist – Full Time

REVENUE INTEGRITY SPECIALIST
JOB STATUS:
FULL-TIME 80 HOURS, Schedule to be discussed at the time of interview
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate or equivalent. competent in HIM coding and hold a certification of a CCS (AHIMA) or CPC (AAPC), be competent with CCI/ MUE/ NCD/LCDs, being familiar with CAH and RHC billing rules is also preferred. Must have experience in medical terminology and medical coding. Must possess excellent computer, office, and math skills and have a firm understanding of the medical billing process. Monitors trends in billing/coding edits to identify needs for retraining and optimization of the build EMR and other revenue cycle programs to minimize manual intervention and maximize compliance. Works through Revenue Cycle leadership to communicate training and optimization needs to clinical leadership, revenue cycle, compliance, and related areas. Must capable of working well with the public on a professional and confidential basis. Must work well as a team.
JOB DUTIES:
Monitors trends in billing/coding edits to identify needs for retraining and optimization of the build of editing tools to minimize manual intervention and maximize compliance. Must be a strong, positive communicator with a focus on confidentiality, quality of work and customer satisfaction. Willing to be cross-trained in other areas as requested. Other duties as needed.
