DEPARTMENT: Emergency Department

JOB POSITION: Registered Nurse

JOB STATUS: FULL TIME POSITION– 72 hours per pay. PRIMARY SHIFT: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM. May work a combination of 12 and 8- hour shifts. Weekend and Holiday Responsibility.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate from Accredited School of Nursing and currently licensed in the State of Ohio. Must be ACLS, NRP and PALS certified. Preference will be given to the candidate with two or more years of hospital critical care/ED experience. Recognize and interpret electrocardiographic information. Knowledgeable of management of ventilator patients. Ability to set-up and assist with all invasive procedures. Must exemplify a strong initiative and enthusiasm for the position, including a professional demeanor in appearance and ability to communicate, be an independent thinker, and be a customer service leader

JOB DUTIES: Based in Emergency Department, but will work effectively in other departments rendering personal and professional care to patients as assigned. Uses a systematic approach to assess patient’s needs, plan care, provide quality/direct care, coordination of care and evaluate care in an efficient, safe environment. The RN facilitates collaboration amongst a variety of disciplines in order to provide a unified and seamless approach to care delivery. This position is responsible for adhering to all standards of nursing practice, for promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel of other departments. Patient advocacy, patient safety, and improving health status are priorities when the RN develops the plan of care.
