JOB POSITION: Radiology Technologist Medical Assistant
JOB STATUS: Full Time position budgeted for 80 hours per two week pay period. Flexible day shift hours to be discussed at time of interview.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and Ohio licensed. Must be a high school graduate/equivalent with outstanding office and organizational skills. Must have above average computer, oral and written communication skills, as well as excellent telephone and interpersonal abilities. Prior experience in the medical environment preferred including medical terminology and therapy. Tact and diplomacy are required for contacts with people under stressful conditions. Ability to make decisions based on urgency of the situation. Ability to work independently with little direction. Willing to work within office schedule as needed. Must absolutely excel at customer service.
JOB DUTIES: Operates X-ray equipment to make radiographs of the body for Outpatients. Prepares and maintains records and files as directed. Performs procedures to assist in diagnosis of disease and injuries. Determines proper technique and positions patients for the proper view of the affected area. Facilitates collaboration amongst a variety of disciplines to provide a unified and seamless approach to care delivery. Must adhere to all standards of practice for promoting teamwork with physicians and all ancillary departments. Clinical duties include, but are not limited to, taking patient information, vital signs, and preparing patients to be seen by Healthcare Practitioner. Will also perform clerical duties including, administering drug screenings, scheduling patients, data entry, assembling reports, assist with special promotions and public relations activities. All other duties, or special projects, as assigned.
