JOB POSITION: Physical Therapist

JOB STATUS: Full-time positions working flexible day shift hours, approximately 80 hours per two-week pay period. Weekend call responsibility.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program. Registered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy; National Physical Therapy Examination; and current licensure by the State Board of Physical Therapy. Current CPR Certification.

JOB DUTIES: The practice of physical therapy shall include assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, communication, and demonstration of leadership to address the needs of patients and their families, as well as to foster a positive working relationship among professionals and ancillary staff. This person may be caring for infants, children, adolescents, adults, and/or senior patients and will have the knowledgeand skills to care for the physical and developmental needs of these populations. Assists patient to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. The staff therapists participates in operational aspects of the department and maintains performance improvement activities within the department. Provides input in formulating budget, assists in evaluating department performance versus budget controls and takes appropriate action to remain in budget guidelines. Ensures that patient charges and documentation are accurate and entered on a timely basis. Participates in all infection prevention, departmental equipment training, organization safety and fire safety programs and assists with coordinating recreational or community outreach programs as directed.
