Lead Registered Nurse

Full Time Nights | Emergency Dept.

DEPARTMENT: Nursing Administration

JOB POSITION: Lead RN – Nights

JOB STATUS: Full-time position 7pm-7am at 72 hours per pay and Full-time positions working 12-hour shifts. Weekend and holiday responsibility.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate from Accredited School of Nursing and currently licensed in the State of Ohio. Must be BLS, ACLS, and PALS certified. Demonstrates leadership behavior and confidently handles difficult situations. Must exemplify a strong initiative, flexibility, and enthusiasm for the position, including a professional demeanor in appearance and ability to effectively communicate, be an independent thinker, and a customer service leader.

JOB DUTIES: To provide guidance and supervision to hospital personnel, while serving as hospital administration’s liaison in responding to emergent situations. Coordinates bed management and nursing staffing assignments according to patient acuity and census. Serves as a professional role model and ensures exceptional patient care. Serve as a resource person for hospital staff. Floats to busy areas for needed periods of time to assist with admitting, transfers, etc. as needed and may require patient assignments. Evaluate and adjust staffing resources as appropriate. Able to function effectively in all nursing departments. Assist with case management and patient case review activities. Communicate with management as needed.
