JOB POSITION: Cook/Food Service Worker
JOB STATUS: Contingent position working approximately 30 hours per two week pay period. To assume weekend and holiday rotation. May need to flex hours depending upon department need.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate preferred with courses in food preparation, sanitation, and methods of cooking. Experience preferred in large quantity cooking in restaurant, school, or hospital. Must be/become ServSafe Certified and exemplify a strong initiative and enthusiasm for the position, including a professional demeanor in appearance and ability to communicate positively, have team building skills, and be an independent thinker with a focus on customer service and confidentiality.
JOB DUTIES: Prepares and cooks main course food for patients, employees, and cafeteria. Cooks for special functions/events according to menu prepared by Food Service Director. Will also perform other Dietary duties as assigned. Cook is in charge when Director is not present.
