Central Processing Technician

DEPARTMENT: Surgery

JOB POSITION: Central Processing Technician

JOB STATUS: Full-time position working 80 hours per pay. Day shift hours, may vary depending on department needs. No weekend, holiday or call responsibility.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: BLS Certification. Certified Registered Central Service Technician or previous experience strongly preferred. Must exemplify a strong initiative and enthusiasm for the position, including a professional demeanor in appearance and ability to communicate effectively, be an independent thinker, calm under pressure, and a customer service leader.

JOB DUTIES: Proficient in all central supply/sterilization procedures, including disinfecting and cleaning of endoscopes. Supply inventory management.  Pick surgical supplies for surgery/endoscopy cases. Facilitates collaboration amongst a variety of disciplines to provide a unified and seamless approach to care delivery. Willingness to work different days or hours needed as department demands evolve.
