Hospital

The painting titled After the Rain by Kyle Park, MD, was accepted by the Ohio Watercolor Society for its annual juried exhibition.

Dr. Park said his original work was selected for the society’s travel show for exhibition in museums, art centers and galleries throughout the state. At the conclusion of the exhibition, Dr. Park plans to donate After the Rain to Wyandot Memorial Hospital.

The retired physician has given numerous paintings to the hospital in the past and they are displayed in public areas.

Dr. Park enjoyed painting and art as a youth but reported little time for it during medical school and the early years of his medical practice in Upper Sandusky. His interest in painting was renewed with his introduction to the local Sugar Run Art Association, and he resumed painting as a hobby. Dr. Park attended art school classes in Columbus to further develop his technique for using pastels, his medium of choice. He prefers outdoor scenes for the natural lighting, serenity and beauty of nature.
