Babysitter Training June 15 and 24

Hospital

Wyandot Memorial Hospital is offering its free one-day babysitter training course for youth ages 12 and older on Tuesday, June 15 and Thursday, June 24 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The training will be held in the conference room on the lower level of the hospital with easy access via the Surgery Center entrance. Students are encouraged to arrive between 7:45 a.m. and 7:55 a.m. so the program can begin promptly at 8 a.m.

Each youth attending the babysitter training course will receive a packet of information, including hand-outs from the health and safety professionals participating in the course. Presentations cover child development, life and fire safety, first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), nutrition and babysitting tips.

Those sitters completing the course who have parental permission may have their name on a referral list available at the hospital.

The training sessions are limited to the first 12 participants that register by June 2. To register or for more information, contact course coordinator Fortune Bormuth in Wellness at WMH by phoning 419-294-4991, extension 2236, or emailing her at fbormuth@wyandotmemorial.org.
