Wyandot EMA Now Accepting Homemade Masks

Hospital

The Wyandot County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is accepting donations of homemade masks for distribution to patients in the hospital or other healthcare settings.

Local EMA Director Dale Risley said homemade mask donations will be accepted weekdays between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Wyandot County EMA office, which is located within the EMS building at 401 North Warpole Street in Upper Sandusky. For safety purposes, donors will remain in their vehicles and phone the EMA office at 419-294-4916 when they are in the parking lot and ready for a staff member to retrieve their contribution.

The EMA is also accepting donations of personal protective equipment (PPE) for first responders, Wyandot County Public Health and Wyandot Memorial Hospital. Among the items needed are surgical gowns, face/surgical masks, gloves, N-95 particulate respirators, isolation gowns, face shields, Tyvek coveralls, thermometers, foot coverings, ventilator tubing, hand sanitizer that contains greater than 60% alcohol and sanitizer wipes.
