Endocrinologist Joins Wyandot Memorial

Endocrinologist Chingleput Ranganathan, MD, has joined the medical specialists at Wyandot Memorial Hospital and is available for office hours every Tuesday.

Dr. Ranganathan practices general endocrinology with expertise in the care of diabetes, thyroid disease, lipid disorders, pituitary conditions, osteoporosis, hypertension and obesity. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine for Endocrinology and Metabolism and cares for patients age 15 and older.

Dr. Ranganathan earned his medical degree from Stanley Medical College at Madras University in Madras, India before relocating to the United States. He served his internship at St. Luke’s Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota, and general practice residency at Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point, New Jersey, and Euclid General Hospital in Euclid, Ohio. He completed an internal medicine residency at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, Connecticut, and the VA Hospital at Wayne State University in Allenpark, Michigan. A fellowship in diabetes was completed at the Joslin Clinic and Boston VA Hospital, both in Boston, Massachusetts.

Dr. Ranganathan is affiliated with St. Vincent Charity Hospital in Cleveland as both an endocrinologist and emergency department physician. He previously worked as an endocrinologist at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland and was in private practice and affiliated with Southwest General Hospital and Parma Community Hospital. The specialist also has extensive experience as an emergency department physician.
