Wyandot Memorial Hospital’s SleepCare is holding its free Sleep Tune-up on Tuesday, September 27 from 1 – 6 p.m. at the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) office.
The event will feature inspections and “tune-ups” of Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) and Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure (BiPAP) machines by DME respiratory therapist Rhonda Pirnstill. Both CPAP and BiPAP machines aid many people in managing their sleep apnea or other disorder, and proper maintenance is key.
“We want to make sure the pressures are accurate and masks are fitting properly,” explained Denise Orwick, Director of Respiratory and DME Services. “We’ll also have our sleep technologists available to answer any questions about sleep habits and address concerns about symptoms.”
The Sleep Tune-up will be held in the DME office at the Medical Office Building in its temporary location on Mission Drive (formerly Fairhaven North and Wyandot Manor) in Upper Sandusky. Tune-up participants are asked to enter at the main entrance under the canopy.
