Wyandot Memorial Hospital is hosting the American Cancer Society’s Look Good . . . Feel Better® program on Monday, April 16 from 6 - 8 p.m.
Look Good . . . Feel Better® is a free American Cancer Society program that teaches beauty techniques to women who are in various stages of cancer treatment. Local cosmetologists demonstrate how to use make-up and skin care techniques to overcome the appearance-related effects of chemotherapy and radiation.
The American Cancer Society partners with the National Cosmetology Association and the Personal Care Products Council to provide the non-medical, product-neutral program. As part of Look Good . . . Feel Better®, cancer patients receive a variety of make-up in a kit valued at $250.
Wyandot Memorial Hospital serves a complimentary light dinner at the program, which takes place in the Bowman Conference Room on the lower level of the hospital. The hospital also offers a crocheted hat to each participant.
To register for the Look Good . . . Feel Better® program, phone the American Cancer Society at 1-888-227-6446 by 4 p.m. on Friday, April 13.
