Penny Case’s Second Grade Class at East School donated $1,032.38 to the Wyandot Memorial Hospital Foundation for the hospital’s renovation and addition project. WMH CEO Joe D’Ettorre (standing, left) accepted the donation from the class members and Miss Case (standing, right), and led the students on a tour of several hospital departments, including pharmacy, surgery, lab, x-ray, emergency and the maternity unit. As D’Ettorre shared with the youngsters how their donation would help patients, Miss Case noted the fundraising project was designed to instill in her students the pleasure and importance of supporting a worthy cause in the community.

 

D’Ettorre stated the wet weather has delayed some of the construction, but contractors still predict a completion date in early 2012.
