Mounir Haurani, MD, and Jean Starr, MD, are the new vascular surgeons at Wyandot Memorial Hospital’s Specialty Healthcare Center.
They both practice at The Ohio State University Medical Center Division of Vascular Diseases and Surgery in Columbus and have office hours at WMH.
Dr. Haurani and Dr. Starr are trained to treat diseases of the body’s vascular system, including arteries, veins and the lymphatic system.
Dr. Haurani completed his undergraduate work at the University of Michigan, and received his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He served a general surgery residency at Henry Ford Hospital, and was a clinical and research fellow in vascular and endovascular surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
Board certified in general surgery and vascular surgery, Dr. Haurani has practiced at OSU since 2011, and is an assistant professor of clinical surgery in the division of vascular surgery.
Dr. Starr received both her undergraduate and medical degrees from OSU. She completed an internship and residency in general surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, and served a fellowship in vascular surgery there as well.
Dr. Starr is board certified in general surgery and vascular surgery. Since 2004, she has practiced at OSU, where she is the director of endovascular services and an associate professor of clinical surgery in the division of vascular surgery.
